When a forty something shepherd hears the news of the risen Christ, he remembers seeing a remarkable baby and shares the story of his trip to Bethlehem to see what the angels were talking about. As the shepherd shares his memory, the story comes to life around them.
One adult and and seven to nine children can easily perform this 15-25 minute Christmas Play play. And there’s plenty of room for extras. Each child has 2 – 6 lines, and all the parts but two can be cast female or male (Mary and Joseph are the only two gender specific parts).
