I had a hard time paying attention when I started reading this book. But it was well written and I wanted to finish it. I couldn’t figure out why it couldn’t keep me involved. About half way through I realized: Everything in this book works! I’ve been doing all this for our entire marriage!
If you have a strong marriage and your kids hold both of their parents in high regard, you’ll be bored, you’re probably already living Jay’s book.
On the other hand, if you struggle in your marriage relationship or your children seem disrespectful to you, your spouse, their teachers, or others, then read this book and put at least one thing into practice. Then read it again and add one more thing. Yep-the message is that important!
