Description
Every toddler loves to play with empty boxes. We buy them grand gifts, the toy of every child’s dreams, and still we find them sitting in the cardboard. But what if our spiritual lives mimic the antics of those three-year olds? When we focus on the parties and lights, it’s as if we’re toddlers playing with the boxes. Every time we worry about buying the right present or allow the season to become full of stress instead of joy, it’s as if we sit in cardboard. This Advent season, focus on the true gift. As children of the Most High King, it’s time to throw away the boxes and give up playing in the wrapping paper and bows. Join Lynne as she leaves behind the childish practice of playing with the packaging and enjoys the peace and love found only in the Almighty’s most amazing Gift.
